This is a private commission of the Megaman helmet. I decided fiberglass would be the best way to make this helmet. Thin, light and sturdy. Above I showed a few pics of the process. I laid the fiberglass cloth over a nice head-sized rubber ball. After that I sculpted the separate bumps and doo-dads from foam and connected them to the helmet with more fiberglass. The divits int eh ear were painted red and then filled in with a glazing of epoxy resin to look like large red gems.

Tools: 1"extruded polystyrene foam (pink insulation from Home Depot), fiberglass cloth, fiberglass bondo gel, 6" utility knife, palm sander, squeegee, silicone rubber, epoxy resin, etc.
