Faust Scalpel Blade:

4' Break-down scalpel blade

Construction Notes:

If you want a similar weapon made by me I can do it at a reasonable price since I have the materials on hand and the experience. Just shoot me an email and tell me what you want: mike@fantasyprops.com

Construction is pretty straight forward on this. It's hardened wood sawn and carved to shape. The center was designed to come apart to fit in a suitcase for travel to a convention. Each section is just over 2 feet long. The joint in the middle is specially designed to allow full normal use and strength. the 1/4" steel bolt that fastens it together also has a hardwood dowel on each side pegging the halves firmly together. The scalpel can be swung even from the very end with no worries about the connections strength. I have to admit... it's fun to swing around too :) Good balance and handy feel. I had to close the curtains so I could play a little bit without the neighbors worrying about my sanity lol

Tools: 1x4 poplar beam, scroll saw, hand saw, chisels, hand carving tools, palm sander, 1/4" wingnut hardware, airbrush, spraypaint, sealer, sandpaper, wood hardener.
